Brush Cutter Operation


OPERATING ENVIROMENT:The working area of the brush cutter must not contain metal, stones, hardwood, plastic or other objects that may cause damage to the blade.

METHODS

SCYTHING WEEDS:

Description: Scything involves swinging the blade in a level arc to quickly clear areas of field grass and weeds.

Direction: Can be done in both directions or just in one direction.

SAWING:

Conditions: Done with a saw blade when weeds are too thick and strong for other methods.

Application: Suitable for cutting growth up to 3 inches in diameter, which is too thick for scything.

NOTES

When cutting shrubs, it should be cut along the periphery of the trees on the same horizontal plane; when cutting thicker shrubs, avoid letting the trees lean towards one side of the machine to prevent damage to the blades.

Within 15 meters of the operator, there should be no onlookers or other animals.
